I only use my Android Tablet for two things: reading my Kindle and storing the lyrics, chords, and music that I use for my gigs. My tablet stays on most of the time. When I'm not using it as my music book for gigs, it's usually on my bedside table.
It stays on all the time. When the battery runs low, I plug it up. I just wake it up from sleep mode every night to read my Kindle.
But lately it hasn't been able to reach the Internet to download my ever-growing pile of Kindle books. I changed to a different WiFi (yes, we have more than one in this Geek household), but it still couldn't do much of anything, and was very sluggish.
I guess everybody needs a reboot from time to time.... a chance to throw out all the junk in our software and rearrange the 1's and 0's.
I'm really glad Jesus did the big reboot for us 2000 years ago... but in reality it was way more than a reboot. He didn't just defrag our system either. He turned our old hardware into brand new hardware... shiny and new.
And guess what... we'll never need another reboot. His job was perfect. We can pretend to clean ourselves up all we want. We can even change the language to "draw closer to God," or "get more spiritual," when what we really mean is that we think we need more cleaning up.
But Jesus doesn't do anything halfway.
Throw off those grave clothes. You're home.
