Ah the blessing and burden of technology!
I have a 45-min script that includes narration, live song performance and pre-recorded music. I can put the script on my tablet and use my Bluetooth foot-pedal to turn the page as needed.
But then I have to decide how to play the prerecorded music and what to use as my timer (the script has to be read/sung to correspond with the prerecorded music). I tried putting the music on the tablet and connecting it to a Bluetooth speaker. BUT I can't use that at the same time I'm using my script and foot-pedal. Okay, strike one.
So, I guess I'll have to use my laptop and little external speakers to play the music. But while it's playing, the timer disappears, and without a free hand to hover the mouse over the timer, I won't know if I'm in sync or not. so I guess I'll have to pull up the online stopwatch that I use in my browser and watch the laptop screen... But that means I'll have to have an Internet connection. So I'll have to use my phone as my Internet Hotspot.
Or I could use the timer on my phone... but then I'd have to look three different places at once while I'm trying to read, play, sing, pray, and turn the page with my footpedal.
I believe this is THE DEFINITION of a FIRST WORLD PROBLEM. ;)
