The Dove and the Kitty Cats

A post from my friend, Barbara Pendleton. I just had to share...

I am sitting here at the studio watching a dove peacefully looking for things to line its nest. So peaceful, so serene, so innocent. Providing for its springtime home and precious little ones, I would imagine.

Almost imperceptible, a black cat creeps slowly up from my left. Crouched down ready and watching. I notice it's rib cage as it expands and contracts. I see the rapid beating of its heart and slight twitching of the tip of its sleek tail. Both feline and dove are oblivious to my presence. The dove moves a safe distance away from the black cat, over to a more brushy area. Like a flash, a light gray and white calico cat leaps out of the brush at the dove. All I see are its front paws/claws and white belly. I weep as I watch the dove effortlessly take flight, beyond the reach of danger's clutches.

I am so thankful to the Lord that no matter what the enemy intends for our destruction, God ALWAYS provides a way of escape, and yes, a way to overcome and soar above anything. We can trust in Him, no matter what. Heaven and earth may pass away, but the Word of the Lord shall stand FOREVER!!

John 16:33 KJV These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Psalms 34:19 KJV Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Psalms 27:13-14 KJV 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Isaiah 40:31 KJV But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
